Jurnal Fisika Unand (JFU) is a peer-reviewed open access journal on interdisciplinary studies of physics, and is published four times in a year (January, April, July, and October) by Department of Physics, Andalas University Padang. The first issue has been released in 2012 and it is made available in electronic form since October 2019 (Vol. 8, No.4). Languages used in this journal are Bahasa and English. Manuscript is thoroughly peer reviewed by at least one expert in the same field (normally two or more).

JFU has been categorised 4th level (Sinta 4) in National Accreditation by Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia  in decree 36/E/KPT/2019, valid until 2021 (2017-2021).  JFU is also indexed by Dimensions, Indonesia One Search, Google Schoolar, and and Garuda. All articles published in JFU have a digital object identifier (DOI).
